Ok guys On september 6th I am off to Canada and America with Doug and two friends Gary and Elaine. We are hiring a Rv and driving down the West coast visiting Vancouver, Seattle, San fran, LA and Las vagas. I ve just been gifted another book,Homer The Iliad..translated by,Robert Fagles,now that is going to be one good read Decided to read that instead of ovid,as it,s earlier,and will be a better start for me i think,ovid is deeeeep lol x
Must go and see this wonderful place,the roman influence is immense,many objects where thrown into the sacred spring,as offerings to the goddess,including 12,000 Roman coins,which is the largest votive deposit,known from britain.Some very special objects,are the curses,with messages inscribed on sheets of lead or pewter,which were then rolled up and thrown into the spring,where the spirit of the goddess dwellt x
