grass seeds strike again ..

just when i thought things were to settle..back at the vets last night for another removal of said grass seed from another of my dogs ears..this time Melody..:056:

Oh dear poor Melody! Think all our pooches need to wear some kind of special ear muffs to stop these seasonal seeds from getting in! xxx

Not one of my dogs has ever had a grass seed.....I am starting to think I am incredibly lucky!

owing cockers for over 11 1/2 years until this month..i too have NEVER have problems with grass seeds either...
since jasper last friday..i have clippered some of the coats off..so less chance of these dreaded grass seeds attaching themselves..but melody i just can't bring myself to taking her coat off..where i live its semi rural..so even on pathways they are laying on the paths..i even had to carry melody back to our car last night after leaving the vets..as in front of our vets there is a grass area..which has been cut..and yes you guessed..in the vets car park..there were loads of them..not sure if they are really bad this year due to the very mild dry spring we have had down here in the south..they just seem to be everywhere..and i have a horrible feeling 3 of my other doggies may have them too..as this morning i have another 3 all shaking their heads..:(....
i feel like giving in right now...

ended up taking two more to the vets last night..good news for one of them..just a bit of wax and no grass seeds...that was barnaby...bless him...the other one was my little tilly..vets think she has had a grass seed..but has shaken it out..as there was a bit of blood in her ear..but due to this..its given her an ear infection..so mr vet has given her some ear drops..while there i also commented that tilly has started a slight limp on one of ehr front legs...vets manipulated her front legs..and one of them she yelped a little...so vet wants to see her in a weeks time to re check check her...if the same he wants to x-ray it..think it could be her elbow...

back there tonight with india just to check hows shes doing on her meds for ehr heart/lungs...

and after this i really hope things start to settle and calm down a bit.......

aww,terri,those pesky grass seeds,i always get worried,but like sceryl,never had them thank gawd....hope melody is ok xxxx and fingers crossed here too for tilly and india bless them xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
