I really tried tonight and it still didn't taste right
I was trying to make beef stroganoff - don't get me wrong it was edible but didn't taste like the one my dad used to make and the taste I have in my head
what recipes have you tried to replicate and how did they turn out?? As you remember them or just edible (like mine tonight) or a total disaster(Had a few of them too)

I don't really follow recipes. Most of my meals are what I saw my Mum doing. My recipes I do use are usually from my Sister who is a really good cook. She churns out dinner parties for 8 to 28 standing on her head!!

I can't get lentil soup to look right. It tastes good but the consistency just isn't right.
I'd love to be able to make soups and sauces really well.

Pea and ham, i just boil frozen peas with a smoked ham joint, and blend. Surprisingly delicious.

Send all your soup samples to me and I'll be the judge...I love homemade lentil soup.
My mums best meal was cold meat beans and chips and funnily enough I can do that LOL

I once bought a tray of yummy bright red tomatoes and tried to make soup with them....
Iv never seen so much mess, peeling, de-seeding chopping, cooking, sieving I ended up with 2 tablespoons of soup!
It tasted like dirty dishwater too
