Keeping a cocker quiet

Has anyone had any joy trying to stop their cockers being madcap? Kali has hurt her back and although she needs to let it heal, she insists on doing her death defying leaps on and off the furniture. I don't want to stick her in her crate but I just need to slow her down a bit!

maybe a crate is the only way then on a lead for going out of it?? It will be worth it in the long run but poor you as its so time consuming. maybe you can take the crate into the living area so she will be happy just lying there?
