I only had my greenhouse in May, eger to start I planted Chilli's and Tomatoes and a Cucumber. I took someone's advice and plant the tomatoes in grown bags but have since transfered them because they we not doing any good at all. They are now in deep pots and doing a lot better, the advice I need is should I be putting some heat in this greenhouse of a nightime the temperature in dropping really low and the moisture is gathering on the glass. I'm a bit lost never had a greenhouse before.

I have my tomato plants outside in a plastic mini greenhouse and that has no heating! They are doing great and it is probably colder here than there. Not sure about the chilli or cucumber plants though. Angie might know.....she has green fingers!

Lol! dunno about having green fingers :045: but we do have a greenhouse with various toms (in pots and grow bags), chillies, cucumber, peppers and aubergines. We're not Denis experts on when to heat your greenhouse. As yet we haven't cranked up the heat and things still seem to be growing okay. However we do have a parafin heater that we use when it gets frosty cold nearer winter time but most of the plants that we've got on the go now have usually been composted by then.

I've got Toms, Cucumbers, Courgettes and Melons in the greenhouse - growing in black builders buckets - no heating in the greenhouse and like Angie I'm no expert on heating the greenhouse. Had some chilly nights and condensation in the mornings but everything is still growing fine. Just don't water the plants at night - water in the mornings.
By the time it gets really cold the toms, cucumbers and melons are all finished any way and the pepper plants I either move to another warmer greenhouse or take them indoors.
