Waiting for the VET to open at 11 to take Sam along. He's had diarrhea for the past 5 days and it's not easing up, even though I've starved him. He was up at 2.40am scratching at the door trying to get out and I couldn't get dressed quite enough, so he made a lovely mess all over my kitchen floor :056: Although I'm glad it wasn't over my cream carpet in the bedroom!

Other than the diarrhea and being clingy, he's his usual mental self! :012:

Aww poor little man, let's hope Mr Vet can give him something to calm his bot-bots down a bit! Give him a gentle squish from me.:054:

Poor Sam. Hope the vet can help. Diarrhoea is something my two rarely get. I thank the natural live goats yoghurt!!

How do you feed that?

I just give them a heaped teaspoonful each a day or sometimes I slap it on top of their food. I think Tesco just started stocking the goats yoghurt too. Used to be just Sainsburys.

You might find that it is just the reintroduction of food is the problem. I always go from starvation to boiled fish, then from boiled fish to boiled fish and a bit of their ordinary food and gradually change the ratio. It does work but takes a while xx

He has an infection :062:

His temperature was 102 and he was in some discomfort when the vet was pressing his tummy. So he got an antibiotic injection and antibiotics for the next 3 days to take.

I left with my purse feeling £33 lighter! :057:

But as long as the boy feels better, that's the main thing :046:

Going to feed him chicken and rice for the next few days too and gradually put him back on his own food.

Thanks MM about the yoghurt, I'll have a look when I go shopping later :071:

Aww bless - £23 sounds a bargain to me - our vet never seem to charge less than £35 every time you walk through the door!!!
Hope he feels much better soon.
