Well it looks like Nat has mumps  she started to feel lethargic and achey yesterday, then her neck started to feel stiff. She has now woken up with a rather impressive swollen gland. Off to the doctors in a bit, just to make sure, I know they cant prescribe anything except painkillers. I'm trying really hard to be a good mum and not call her anything, like the elephant man  She's under strict instructions not to breathe, cough or sneeze on the twins (or me) although it may be too late as she's been infectious for the last ten or so days and will be for the next week :09: fingers crossed she keeps it to herself. Tis a good job we live in a house of girls :11:

Think I may banish her to her bedroom for the next week

Edit- Just realised I was awake most of Friday night with what I thought was earache, is it possible to get mumps but with only slight symptoms? Now I'm being accused of being the infector

Ooooh.. Not so sure I would be able to stop myself doing elephant man jokes if it were me! My Mum used to make my sister and I share an orange or something when we were young, just so we got everything at the same time :11: :045:

Yeh, mine hurt too but I seem to recall it was a mump singular   How is she today?

She's still tired and achey, but not too swollen. I think she's just milking it now myself and using the excuse to stay in bed

Which of course, we wouldn't do at all if it were us :11:  :045:

Oh yeah would love the oppurtunity but with houses, kids and dogs to look after, the whole place would fall apart if we took to the sick bed, I know mine would :11:

Yep the lumpy one is all better now, back to her annoying stroppy self :11: she had a pretty tough week aside from the mumps, but everything turned out ok :D
