Ticks

I've tried Advantix, Frontline etc - still loads of ticks attaching themselves to my gorgeous boy - but so far - fingers crossed - I have now found an effective one.

I was on hyperdrug website ordering my Drontal (half the price of the vet), and decided to try their own tick repellant stuff - its magic - so far! Highly reccommend it! (and cheap as chips!) :045:

We dont get ticks here but we are often up in scotland and Nero always gets them when we visit

OH found a flea this morning arrrggghhh - those darn rabbits that have taken residence in the garden and that darn deer that is rotting behind the fence, poor thing must have been hit by a car and managed to get by our fence before it gave up living we didn't notice it til it started to smell yeuch

Have just started my two on Billy No Mates but the tub says it takes 5-6 weeks to be fully effective- we are plagued by the damn things this year so can you gimme the details for the stuff you using as I will try anything. Even if the BNM doesnt get rid of the ticks I would recommend it as a 'coat conditioner' Fred is extra silky smooth and Kooki smells beautiful

Can highly recommend Billy No Mates. Used it for a year or so and my pooches are in areas heavy with ticks and since using BNM they haven't had a single one! My sister and friends use it for their dogs too with the same result.

Soddin BNM isnt working anymore and the dogs are covered in Ticks again- whats the stuff you recommend Nessie as I am at my wits end with the lil blood suckers. have taken over 20 off in the last 3 days it just isnt funny anymore....

Hope you find something to stop them getting onto the dogs

i use Advantix and that is still working for us thank goodness

I use their own make of flea and tick stuff - each pack has 6 tubes - need 1 every 4 weeks
Not had a tick since i strated using it!!!

Going to try the BNM or possibly the brewers yeast and garlic tablets as I would rather use something natural if I can......failing that, I will use the Advantix. I had a quick check on the ingredient in the Hyperdrug product and didn't like what I read so not for me. Mind you, I am lucky. The girls have never had ticks, fleas or grass seeds..............yet!
