Hate the open boxes the council give you so bought 3 of these on Saturday.

At least with the lids all you have to do is lift the flap, chuck stuff in and it stays dry! They have labels as well for putting on them. I think I will get another 3 and then I can keep my colured glass stuff in their own box.

Ah yes they look a good idea - pity the council don't provide something like that themselves really isn't it!

We have recently been given a proper wheelie bin by our council I now recycle more as than I put in the normal bin
they are so much better than the boxes
It is one of the only things I think our council has ever got right

remember those safeway green boxes you used to get ??? well i have one for paper tins etc inside the house on top of the tumble dryer and when it full it goes in the paper wheelie bin

Well i have two more of them outside the kitchen window for glass etc and since the garden clear out I have found a solution to them not getting wet etc

i had one of these in the garden (well similar) http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=20001&partNumber=099661&Trail=searchtext>GARDEN+STORAGE+BOXES and so what i have done is put logs in the bottom and left enough room to fit the safeway boxes on top with the lid closed - Got two others for logs too (I actually got mine from asda when they got reduced to £10 each when i was working there)

My sister uses those MM, they are great and are stacked in her kitchen. I don't have a corner to copy it unfortunately so I have big bags from ALdi with the different things written on them that sit on the utility counter but are a right space waster :(
