Sorry its not as juicy as you think but it got you interested didn't it.

I just bought my nephew the coolest gift ever. My nephew is called Logan, was born in February and is the apple of my eye.

I was at a charity Christmas Fayre today and they had an auction. In it was a bottle of 12 year old Whisky from a silent distillers (which for those of you as thick as me apparently means a closed distillery so the whisky is out of production) called Logan!!!!

That was it, I was determined I was getting that bottle of Whisky for his 1st Christmas even though it will be 17years before he can drink it.

There was a whisky collector there who was also pretty determined to get it but he realised quite quickly that is was about more than monatery 'sp' to me and he gave in and let me win it.

I have a grin from ear to ear and think this is possibly the best gift I have ever bought anyone so in the height of excitement phoned his parents and told them. They were delighted hence the proclamation of love from brother in law. I LOVE finding that perfect gift.

Oooh I should say I have bought him some toys that he can enjoy now too as I realise a 10month old baby might find it a bit hard to get excited about a bottle of whisky. :D :D :D :D

That's great :06:

My Stepdad is called Trevor and he's 6'5 and his brother and sisters have always called him 'Big T' ... My Mum and I were in the Whisky Shop in Edinburgh one day a couple of years ago and lo and behold we found a whisky called 'Big T', he was chuffed

I am even more chuffed as my SIL did some digging about on the net and found a whisky specialist auctioners and in there book 1 12yr old bottle of Logan is valued at between £170 and £210 :033:

I paid £60 so get the sneaky suspicion the collector could see I wanted it badly and had a moment of goodwill when he let me get it that cheap. Bless him and I hope he has a fabby dabby Christmas :10:
