Need some really (really) tall growing plants, that could sit along a fence and are not harmful to dogs but that cattle won't eat. Any ideas?

Yes we need towering culms..........Mr Farmer is building a bl**dy monster shed in the field next but one. Uphill fortunately but still annoying.

That 2nd one looks possible.....doesn't say if cows eat it though. Need cow proof ones. Tanya, find me something seeing as you are the person who had me pulling up my laurel!!

Went to the local garden centre today. Looks really scabby but he has loads of stuff. I am getting willow. All different types. He says it grows quicker than Leylandii and................if you just cut the tops off it really bushes well for screening purposes and if you really chop it down every year it is perfect wood for the fire! So, tops off for the side and back and firewood for the other side and front.................and................it prefers boggy wet ground so is perfect for soaking up wet bits in the garden. Going back tomorrow with the trailer and getting bare root willow and rosa rugosa, just £1 each :046:

Just picked up 100 willows and 15 roses!! Also picked up a card for a local handyman who can put them in :076: As well as make new driveway gates............ and re-lay the patio.................and dig out the old veggie plot.................and get the tree stumps out.............etc etc
