Pepper has gone to the bridge

My old cocker Pepper, my very first dog, the one who made me fall for cockers was put to sleep tonight. He just missed out on his 14th birthday. Poor Pepper was deaf, going blind and had worsening dementia. His heart was failing fast so the vet said it was time to let him go. My parents didnt want to put it off any longer as he wasnt happy. I didn't get to say goodbye :-(

Thanks for the messages everyone. Still sad and still upset I didnt say goodbye. My mum didnt want his ashes back but I've asked for them so he'll be coming to rest beside Merlin.
