Holly used to do it because of her glands. Kali and Lyla don't do it but Chloe used to do it to order. We would say 'stop scooting' and she would dash around the lounge on her bum.......the more we laughed, the more she did it. Funny little soul dog :006:

Sometimes it is anal glads sometimes just an itch

Fern has done it a couple of times and I took her to the vet and her anal glands were totally empty

Not always no - as by scooting they can actually empty their glands themselves apparently (this is according to my vet)
