having never had a phishing email before i have now had 4 today, 2 (to different emails) from Abbey, RBS and Natwest all advising me that my online security has been questioned there are high activity levels on my account, etc..can I please click the link to reset my security.
The clever so and so's have got the FSA numbers and the genuine sites for these banks at the bottom to lend credibility.
Can you all be extra vigilant as I think they are using the lost child benefit disks as a genuine reason to make you think this has happened to you.
Do not click the links at any cost.

Good point people will be more likely to panic with whats happened, btw thats our local office and they think the files might still be in the building but misplaced :060:

Yeah from a techie point of view, I can say that these types of banks will NEVER request anything like that from you in an email. At worst case, they'd snail-mail you telling you why something is happening - but not in email.

Soooo many scams. So little time.

the thing that got me most was the link to the proper site is real but then they have the bogus one on there as well....

I kept getting similar from the actual bank i use - I just emailed them, not anywhere from the email link on the dodgy mail ;) , and told them that if their email was ligit then to post it to me as I will not take any notice of emails from the bank

I also went into my bank and got a note put on that I will not take any notice of emails ligit or not ;)

I've actually missed a few friends etc via email as I don't read half of them just delete :11: Unless I definately know who they are
