It's now 5 am, i'm wide - a sodding - wake, haven't slept yet and can't Now starting to get the hot sweats and dizzys. Was the same last night and finally went to sleep at 7.30am.

Please someone, anyone, tell me how to sleep. Prescription doesn't work and a few glasses of wine may do it but i'd be just as usless in the morning. Feel like i'm going mad! :04:

Is it just me, anyone else have this?

I was having major problems sleeping because I had so much going on in my life so heres what I did. I gave up coffee completely and went to the health food shop for advice. They suggested a vitamin B100 because I was getting to sleep and then waking and being awake for ages. Your situation is not the same so I suggest going to the health food shop and having a chat with someone there. Hope you're sleeping better soon as I know how frustrating it is. :10: :10:

I have used Nytol in the past but fwelt a bit groggy the next day.
Some of your symptons sound a bit like mine did,
hot sweats, headaches, no periods, couldn't sleep.
Had loads of bloody tests and was told i may have a pituary tumour.....but thank god the consultant said it was very extreme stress. And advised more exercise and fresh air. Funnily enough when the ex left i feel much better.
Hope you have a better nights sleep, try lavendar in bath and on pillow and a room temperature larger.

Extreme stress does exactly the same for me Alpha. I thought I had everything under the sun wrong with me, there were so many odd symptoms. I hate taking pills of any sort. Excercise and fresh air during the day definately helps me -when I can find the time  .

I try not to drop straight into bed absolutely whacked after a busy day, and wind down first. No alcohol or caffeine as it makes me dehydrated during the night, gives me headaches and I feel lousy the next day. I try to drink plenty of water throughout the day and have a warm milky drink before bed if I am not too pooped. I would love to have a relaxing herbal bath but am always too knackered :( .

Going off to sleep with some relaxing music playing helps me. I have a couple of CDs that play natural sounds, so I can drift off imagining myself going to sleep in the middle of a cool wood, or by a bubbling stream on a hot July morning. It takes my mind off the crappy things too :)
My sister bought me this last year. It is organic rosehip oil with neroli, lavender, chamomile and other such stuff. I use this and the scent really relaxes me too.
