When I moved Sweepie and Daisy were in cratesin my room, but I softened and let them back in my bed, BUT Sweepie has started to wet my bed and I have no idea why?? Im going to have to crate them again which is a shame, unless anyone has any idea's?? I have been putting it down to incontinence as she will do it in her own bed but its only ever over night?????

aww poor thing. I've not had this problem (YET!) so can't offer any help. Hope you get it sorted so she doesn't have to go back in the crate.

poor Sweepie...sorry no advice as I'm a mean muther and make mine sleep in the kitchen :039:

Would something like this at least help save your bedding if it's down to incontinence and not an infection?

I would still be tempted to get a sample tested. Even if it isn't all the time she is piddling. Just to rule it out.

pepper does this its a lack of hormones following spay affecting the smooth muscle of her bladder . when awake she will not pee but asleep the smooth muscle relaxes a bit too much allowing small and sometimes not so small amounts of urine to escape the bladder. shes on propalin now and rarely has a mishap while sleeping.
go have a chat with your vet. xx

I know you can get products to help with spayed bitches, and most of the time it does happen during sleep.

So you're telling us you wet the bed last night????? :036:

And what were you doing sleeping in the cemetary in the first place!!??

As far as Sweepie goes, the spay incontinence seems like a likely cause - I know when Beth's Lucy started it was very infrequent... Hope you get it sorted! :078:

peppers was too and I never clicked it was pee for ages. shed be sleeping afrter swimming and Id see a wee damp patch and think it was from swimming.. it took ages to build up into a regular problem. she didnt go on propalin for about 2 years or more as it was only rarely to begin with and smaller amounts. she had a urine test as well but all was fine. fit and healthy that way. can you not whip a test strip from the vets and run it under her pee. if theres an infection there that would show it up.
plus if she did have an infection shed be needing out more and it woould be more obvious when she was awake.. she would be pacing to get out and peeing more often and perhaps not as she normally is. if shes right as rain and its just the once while sleeping my bet is early spay incontinance. sorry.
