Hiyas,

Sorry I've not posted much lately have been a bit under the weather :(

Anyhoo, I've been a bit bothered about Penny lately, she's gettin' on a bit and has been a bit coughy, so I took her to the v.e.t.s today to give her a check up. The vet gave her a thorough going over and said that she's doing well. I did ask about her awful breath and she said it was no way near as bad as others she sees (which I was shocked about!) and said she doesn't need a dental (a relief to me), but anyone got any ideas for miss pongy breath? A lorry load of listerine maybe!?! Seriously though, anyone got any recomendations? Does plaque off work?

On another note, something I saw today when scouring through t'internet...

Oh why can't I have them all..

...look at this little one at MT, its almost identical to my Penny!

I saw Fidget too, the spaniel/lab cross, they do look alike, but your Penny just has the edge! :077:

Did the vet do a blood test to check where the bad breath is coming from?

Aww, she says thank you for your kind words :) She quite fancies Fidget as a toy boy te he he he

No they didn't test, do you think I should have insisted? Once I left I really wondered if I should have said I wanted tests regardless of what she thought. I asked if the breath was from liver/kidney function but she said def not. She was certain it was general old dog breath but sometimes it really does honk! :076:

I was thinking what you were thinking, but if the vets insists...although, how do they know without a test? But they are right about some dogs smelling with age, I'v met some stinkers!

I'm a bit of a vampire though, I always had Gari tested for everything, just so I could catch things early if possible, but that's just me.
