Duggie got stung

A big nasty wasp flew into Duggie's Kong today and stung him inside his mouth! :032: The poor soul was crying, then screamed in pain when I tried to take a look at his mouth. I was so worried that his throat or tongue might have got it, and would swell, so rushed him to the vet.

He was still in pain for hours afterwards, but after a nice long sleep with me, he was back to normal, although his mouth is still a little swollen on his left side.:077:

A steroid jab, some piriton (that I have at home anyway!), lots of cuddles and a bit of a Schmako!

my melody knows how you feel..she had a sevre reaction last year..which did affect her airways, and her whole face/ eyes swelled..she too was given steriod injection and something else..

He's back to normal today thankfully. I was so worried about him for a while, especially as 2 poor girls on COL have lost their little pups recently, and 1 of them was Duggie's friend. :062:

Duggie isn't scared of wasps after his ordeal, he is wary of the Kong - it was the Kong that bit him, it seems... ^^
