I just wondered what we all liked housewise in terms of colour. Are you a neutral person or do you love colour? I love colour but I have to be able to use it or not as the mood takes me so I tend to have my walls in cream (or variations of cream :076:) and have the colour in accessories like cushions, vases or paintings. My lounge is all creams and browns because it is such a large peaceful room that it suits it but my bedrooms are cream with brown/blue, jade, plum etc.

All the rooms we have decorated here are neutral colours with coloured accessories :044:
The ones we haven't yet got around to decorating are quite colourful and even tho I have learnt to live with them I can't wait till we get it all neutral :076: but hey it's only taken us 11 years to get 3 rooms decorated :076: so another 4 rooms to go (without the bathrooms that is :076: but that includes the halls )

I love colour, my friend has just decorated her lounge, Claret on the bottom of the walls and gold on the top, it really does look the part.

I love colour but I need to be able to change my mind or I would be forever decorating.....I love neutral tones and being able to change the colours that go with it at the drop of a hat!

I am a bit of both really. When I moved into this place, the living room had deep red walls, and I left them like that. I did paint the bedroom and bathroom though as they were turquoise, which I hate. If I had to repaint the whole thing, I would be more likely to paint all the walls neutral then use cushions, covers, lighting and accessories to get the different looks. Cushion covers are easier to change than whole walls if you get sick of it after all.

I used to be really bold but then realised (same as Caroline) that easier to keep in fairly neutral and accessorise.
My living room has a feature dark red wall with matching curtains and a couple coloured cushions. Our kitchen is duck egg blue. Samantha's room has one pillar box red wall and a bright red carpet but she picked that for her birthday - yes can you believe an 11 year old asked for her room to be decorated as her birthday pressie last year!
All the rest of the rooms are pretty neutral. Our last house was very bold but caused a prob when selling....fortunately we found a person who loved all the colours just as we were about to magnolia-ise the whole thing!
Might take some pics later....

When I moved in to my house in Inverurie the lounge had crimson walls and a jade green carpet and the main bedroom had jade green walls with a crimson carpet. Bleurrrgh :065:

In my flat it was very neutral.
Whenever I get my own place, I'm going to be quite adventurous (?) and have decided on pink for my bedroom and greens/brown for my living room.
I wasa also thinking of white for my bathroom and multi coloured towels and accessories!!! :046::046:
