To be honest i'm not that shocked, although it's a really small place theres a pub, take aways, and a newsagents really close together and usually groups of 30 or more teenagers. The police rarely do anything, because they're far too outnumbered, but it's still shocking when you think that we're basically in the new forest and it is a small village, yet things like this still occur. :(

Yeah, even in Aberdeen - there was a body found only 100 yards away from our house (across the road). And you hear of more gun related deaths than there have ever been before.
Does anyone apart from me think that the police force in this country couldn't find its arse with both hands? Maybe it's cos they are underfunded. Maybe it's run or backed by idiots. Whatever the cause, the country seems to be going down the pan....

I agree that the police sometimes seem little better than useless but I think that schools and families should also take some responsibility for churning out these children who have little or no respect for anything. I get fed up to the back teeth with the old 'they are bored and they have nowhere to go' chestnut. We were bored and had nowhere to go but killing, robbing, drinking, stealing etc were not what we chose to do instead. There has to be a reason other than a crappy police force to explain why things are so bad

There's been a bit more on this on the news today. The poor bloke was over from India working on one of the ships that docks in Fawley, went to the pub for one coke, then that all kicked off. The bastards who did it are out on bail, and they'll only get manslaughter if anything, which is hardly sending out the right message to all the other little shits is it?!
