Which is the best DIY home colourant and what colour do you think I should go next?

I have been every colour under the sun and used to be a bit wild about my hair but now I appreciatte it feeling lovely and looking shiny. I am just my natural colour just now which is kind browny but am bored. Don't wanna go red/purple again as done that for ages...before that I was cosmic blue which my OH loved but the grey showed through so fast and I think lighter suits me better.

Can't do highlights myself and although I love going to the hairdressers I am tight and due to the amount of hair I have highlights take forever and cost a fortune :076:

I dunno....I am one of these useless people that walks into the hairdressers and says 'what do you think I should do?'

I think I want to stay lightish as the grey shows up less then :076:

That is true. Lou made me go lighter as I got older. Last colour she did for me was a hotch potch of things she found in the cupboard :076: They were 30ml 9/01 Koleston, 15ml 9/00 Igora Royal and a drop of 9/4 Igora Royal. Came out lovely but then I am easy pleased.....

I like igora colours:044: theresa if you want to go lighter, then then start with a shade or two lighter than your own and add highlights,,,wella home kit is brilliant for highlights and so easy to use you get all you need with it,i think if you want to go completely different,a trip to the hairdressers would be the best really,as you may get into a pickle with it all, alternatively, ask her to colour your hair a lighter shade, then do your own highlights ...too light and your roots will be a beggar,:044:how dark are you though??

I had my hair done a while ago and the hairdresser used some hair straighteners (as an experiment ) on my already straight hair! The upshot was I couldn't really notice any difference on the hair straightener front but I did notice how silky-soft and shiney my hair felt afterwards so I'm presuming it must've had something to do with the heat protector serum and gloss n shine spray she used? I want to get the same silky-soft-shiney feel with shop brought products can you recommend any for me please Fluffs? http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Happy/happy-118.gif
