wedding reception

Well I dotn know if anyone here remebers me saying we got dropped in it by the venue we had booked for the wedding. But anyway, my dad is OIC of the local St John and they use the local army cadet hall. Chatting to the caretaker he mentioned we needed a venue and the caretaker told him that they did some receptions occasionally. I went to speak to the manager today to sort out what they could do. Well I had to get him to repeat the cost of the 3 course meal a couple of times, £3 per head!!!!! How happy am I with that! The only downside is they cant seat as many as we had hoped to have but for that price I aint gonna argue! In total we will be saving over £2000 on the food alone! I could have kissed the manager :12: Plus the bar in there is sooooo cheap (£1.30 for a pint) :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Nope jools no joy yet with the ribbon :( I do have a back up plan but I still would like to get the ribbon :|

I don't care how far away it is i think we should all gate crash and instead of a row of crossed swords you could have a double line of cockers to walk thorugh as you come out of church...shit i might keep that idea to myself if i am ever frog matched up the aisle again.
