after my drama last night with m laminated tenner i got to thinking of forged cash. i worked in an offie for a time and some of the fakes that were handed over were really good and some were awful. one morning i opened up and in the office pinned on the edge of a shelf were 3 £20 notes. well they were bits of paper that vaguely resembled £20 notes. they were only printed on one side and had a bit of foil stuck on them. when one of the other staff turned up i laughed and asked if someon had tried to spend them(they were so bad i thought it had been someone playing a practical joke) other staff member replied "no, someone bought stuff with them" :o i couldn't believe one of my members of staff had actually taken them. there were loads flying round at the time but our offie used to be very very busy and i suppose its easily done.
aboutthe same time this happened i was at work but needed fags. i never used to buy them from work(coz we always had ciggies going missing) so i nipped out to our co op oposite to et some. i gave them a tenner and they gave me my change including a very obvious fake fiver. i gave it back and told them it was fake. they said it wasn't. we bickered about it for ages and i tried to show them how to tell a fake fiver. they changed my one for a proper one but didn't take any notice.the next day i got a request from the manager of co op to go show the staff how to tell the difference. turns out that they had taken over £100 worth of themthat night.
recently my daughter was in work and a well know yob came into her shop. he had some kids play money and asked her for change :lol: she went mad at him and said did he honestly believe she would fall for such a thing. yob replied "well it was worth a try, i got rid of 4 in the co op last night :o
and i had to unpeel my tenner what was real. i think i should have used a fake. maybe i should have got charlie to draw one for me :lol: :lol:
