We went away for a short break and our new pup [less than 2 years old] went into kennels for the first time. We know the kennel owners and have used their services for a number of years but this time it was so hard. I called the kennels every day to make sure our shocker was ok and was practically at the kennels this morning for opening time to get her back. When I picked her up I saw her in the kennel, looking lonely and her nose peeking out through the gap in the gate it broke my heart :04: :04: The kennel owner seemed a bit 'put out' that i'd called so often but geez, it was the pups first time in kennels. Is it normal to miss your pup soooooooooo much when in kennels?? I don't ever want to put her back in kennels and would be happy to pay the extra dosh to take her with us wherever we go :10: :10: :10:

what about petsitters. there is an ex policeman who runs one round here.
what is it about cockers and how easy can they make usfeel guilty. dulux dogs are also very good at this. especially if you are eating a bar of chocolate.

Neither of mine have ever been in kennels, but i very nearly came home from my honeymoon (at a festival :06: ) on the first night as i was worried about Lucy. I burst into tears when i heard she was crying and told OH to pack up the tent.
