I put on the gimme 3 thread about desserts, the reason being I have to decide in the next week what we are having for the wedding. I am allergic to chocolate and cant stand anything with raisins or currants in. I need inspiration and oh and I cant seem to agree and my list of suggestions was very short so come on inspire me with your ideas for a good winter pud

unfortunately my family are very religiou so have pacified my mam with a church wedding and we are having a handfasting later (my parents are paying for the whole wedding and have given us a fair amount as a budget) the wedding is in feb but as we have had to change venues etc i dont want to muck about with the new one as they are doing us a favour (its someone my dad knows is the manager and its supposed to go through a committee etc etc but he has slipped it in the book for us :13: )

I am hopeless at things like this...bloody good at eating them though.
Are there no fruits associated with any of your customs etc..like the apple that you could use symbolically.
Or am I being a bit up myself here.

My 4 year old and I made pavlova today and it was fab, so i vote for that. By the way, I read handfasting as handfisting and wondered what the hell that was all about
