She is really subdued at the moment juust find a quiet spot to go to sleep.
She isn't doing all the normal Lilly stuff like harassing everyone for a cuddle andshe seems a bit down.
She is 7 months old now is this her first season starting do you think? She is the first bitch I have ever had she doesn't seem swollen anywhere and she has no sign of any blood.

It could be, bit like us humans they get pmt and I think cramps, it makes them more subdued before anything actually appears to be happening. I'd just keep and eye on her anything nonseason related happens take her to a vet but my guess is in a couple of days she'll start showng more signs of a season.

Hope she is ok, puppy cuddles from Callie.

Well if it is her timing is shit, i was supposed to be going to see friends (who have 2 dogs) and going on the COL meet up in the lakes...
Also she came with me to a friends last night who have Spinone stud dog..please someone reassure me I am not going to have some unwanted pups on my hands.
What signs should I be looking for with her?

i know things have been a bit hectic at your place lately alpha, lilly ust may be reacting to it all now. also your boy went back to school yesterday didn't he. maybe she is missing him.
it could just as well be her season tho. ellie behaved the same when she had her first.

It could be her season, Brook is in the full throes of hers just now and I can honestly say I don't know how folk keep bitches without having them spayed. The house is like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre with blood everywhere and she's also been pukey and diawotsit-y to boot. She's fine in herself and is eating, drinking and playing ok :12: it's just the various excretions flying out of her at every turn are driving me mad

Hope little Lils is ok though :12: I wouldn't worry about her having been caught just yet, generally they aren't fertile until after the bleeding stage when the discharge goes clear and it's unlikely they would stand for a dog before then. Brook is getting to that stage just now and is becoming rather flirtatious with Tilly :15:  :12: but up until now over the last couple of weeks if another dog dared to sniff her bits she'd have had their face off, which is very unlike her.

I dont know Mrs wot is it about everytime you are coming to see me :04: :04: :04:
no honestly hope Lily is fine she sounds as though she is coming in to season but Minstrel was always fine and never really lost lots of blood she used to nest though and take all her soft toys
in her basket and dont worry if she hasnt started to bleed yet she wont have got caught and like you say Nicola Minstrel would not let a dog near her until she was coming into season :12: and when she was being mated god she knew what she wanted little hussy :o :o :o :12: :12:
