camping site that welcomes dogs in the lakes

can anyone help me we are arranging a mini meet on COL for the 29/30 sept in the lakes and I am trying to find somewhere that will take 14 dogs and 8 humans approx for one night in tents some more are coming for the day help pleese anyone else who is interested can come too

this place is great. its a farm and you can pitch your tent right next to the lake. we took ellie in june and she loved it. quite cheap too.

pity i wasn't still a member i would have gone too. :lol:
check on col for my post about it. there are some pics on there too i think. ellie had a fine old time. most of the dogs were off lead on the site too.

Try this http://www.siteseeker.co.uk/siteseeker/aspx/search.aspx the sites are always brilliant with wonderful facilities and all the sites are great for dogs (must be kept on lead at all times on site) members prices are cheaper than non but it's still well priced.

edited to add: make sure you tick the little dog symbol at the bottom for the sights where dogs are most definately allowed :D

I'm sure its the last weekend 28th 29th in the lakes ( i have a 6 birth tent and a 2 man caravan) so can provide accomodation for a couple more if needs be.
It would be cool if you come we could have 2 camps
"The banned" and "The damned" don't know which one I would fit into best so i am going to start that foot in each camp stuff...it works well for lots of people I know.

well we won't be there. jim won't risk me getting into an arguement with any col'ers. he says if just one of them get a bit snotty i'll cause a riot. his answer is a flat no. i wouldn't bloody well mind but i don't think anyone would be snotty. i liked most people on col. i think he just doesn't fancy the drive :11:

I dont know will ring tomorrow and ask just thought we wont have to struggle with all the tents then if they cant come in the barn we could put them in the tent in cages :04: :04:

erm i didn't see any barn. there was a house but someone lived there. there was a giant cow shed but it stunk. shower block, toilet bloc, shop (tiny) washing machine room. the camp field was quite big and the lake (ullswater) was spectacular. sheep are everywhere. very friendly collie on site too :D
