i am sitting watching the kids going back to school, all the little ones look soo excited and all the older ones look gutted
they are all in brilliant white shirts and new uniforms. they all look so smart(i know that most will be manky by 3.15)
i used to love the first day back at school when the kids were little.
today i see lots of mums unable to keep the relieved look and smug smiles off thier faces :P

Luke has started big school today (they have a strange system the only go for 2 hours a day at first fr the first 3 weeks) right nightmare trying to arrange stuff around that.
But mummy cried and Luke was OK and had a great time

Alpha my kids had that for about a month, two hours a day for a week, then home for dinner back in the afternoon, then in full day till 2.00 then eventually in full day, that was really hard to work around :D

You know how you are really nervous about buying the new uniform too early in the holidays in case dear ones gorw?

Well, I was too busy yesterday to do a dry run etc so this morning Ben got dressed, came downstairs and I freaked out.

HE SEEMS TO HAVE SHRUNK!!!!!! His new trousers were about 3 inches too long and looked ridiculous. So, 10 minutes before we needed to leave I was sewing a huge hem on them.

Then, he puts his shoes on and says "these are rubbing my heels". Bu&&er!!!!! Good thing I hadn't quite managed to get his old ones up to the charity shop.

So NO, NO, NO, no lovely back to school moments in this house this morning. (I am NEVER this disorganised!)

Then at 3.15 he is covered in grass stains. New shirt and new (short enough) trousers. So they are in the wash now. Hope it comes out, don't fancy any more sewing today.

I feel quite sorry for Luke when I ordered his uniform they told me a 24 would be big enough for his sweatshirt.....its very snug to say the least I am dreading washing it.
Oh I wish i could organise myself a bit better
