Goose doesnt have aspergillosis :022: After being on toxic drugs for nearly 2 weeks. Just as well I didnt decided to end his life :069:

Anyhow, its either a grass seed, or a tumour :022: Ill keep you updated and thanks to all of you for helping me through this :078:

I had the most horrendous letter today that could have set me back but im putting diseased people behind me :044:

Love YOU ALL :078:

Great news about the aspergillosis!! Hoping it is a grass seed but even tumours can be got rid of and never recur. Fingers crossed for your baby and hugs for you.

P.S. If I give you some of my diseased people can you put them behind you too? :075:

OMG - you must be livid but really relieved at the same time.

Poor you and poor goose - I'm glad you can stop the drugs and I hope Goose starts feeling better soon. :078::078:

Shove some silica down his neck Carol in case it is a grass seed, can't hurt :044:

Thanks Helen, can you give me more details on the silica please, dosage etc. Can I get that at the chemist?

Helen

yep, you can get it at the chemist. I would give him a couple of pillules every few hours on the first day (so around 4 x in total) which will kick start it, and then twice a day for 10 days max. It won't interfere with any other drugs so he can have it while on anything else - there is talk that it could try and expel microchips but I've never heard that it's actually happened.

I did use it when Jarv had something rammed up his nose and was trying to clear it himself (nothing in comparison with what Goose has been going through) and on the 3rd day Jarv did a MAHOOSIVE sneeze and something flew out (plus he sprayed me with watery blood at the same time). He was fine after that.

Dogs seem to react really well to homeopathy - the pillules are meant to dissolve on their gums (if Goose will put up with that) in a clean mouth so about 20 mins after food or between meals. I did get a tip from a homeopathic vet that if this was a problem you could dissolve them in a tiny amount of milk - try not to handle the pillules at all.

I am hoping with every hope that it's a grass seed :054:

Silica? as in Silica gel? the stuff that soaks up moisture?

Hope goose is feeling better by now or at least well on his way

Silica? as in Silica gel? the stuff that soaks up moisture?

nooooo...I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's a homeopathic remedy?

nooooo...I'm not 100% sure

Contradictory? LOL

Gonna have to google this

EDIT:

It is the same stuff just prepared in a different way according to what I found, here's an interesting extract:

Silica is also useful in expelling material from the body. It is used to remove splinters, bits of embedded glass, and other foreign irritants. It also aids in the elimination of stools from the rectum.

So where does it put the stools? could be embarrasing!

But from the first bit of that I see why it could be used to help with a grass seed, very interesting I had no idea bout this as a treatment beforehand
