Well, i've been seeing some good movies recently. Here are some of the better ones i've seen - and some (in my opinion) to avoid....

Stuff to see

"Next" - Nicholas Cage is a bloke who can see 5 minutes into his own future

"Fracture" - Anthony Hopkins plays a bloke accused of murdering his wife

"300" - A great movie about the spartans. Awesome film by Rodruigez (Sin City fame)

"Sunshine" - Great film by Danny Boyle (28 days later) about peeps who go to reignite the sun!

"Knocked up" - Not bad at all for a semi-chick flick. Pretty funny in parts.

"Die hard 4.0" - Pretty neat film. Better than 2 and 3, not as good as 1 however. Good comeback!

Stuff to avoid

"1408" - disappointing horror with John Cusack, based on stephen king book I think. Good start, stupid end.

"Spiderman 3" - I've put this on my 'avoid' list because Spiderman is an action hero, not a romantic. Raimi screwed this one up compared to the others.

Em, lyn... would that be "without a paddle" by any chance?

also, simon, rodriguez had nothing to do with 300... i think your getting confused with Frank MIller, the man responsible for both the Sin City and 300 Graphic novels.

And.. fwiw.. Spiderman 3 is my favourite of the trilogy :D :05:

Geek alert!! Geek alert!!

Ahhh yeah, knew there was a link but thought it was director. Music is by the same guy i'd say.... certainly sounds like it anyway.

Spiderman 3 is total shite. Can't believe I wasted money seeing it in the cinema! Second one for the win tbh....

While we're on the subject of movies i would like to recommend revisiting the Crocodile Dundee films - More Australian stereotyping than you can shake a wallabys donger at.

I liked Spiderman 3, Green Goblin was ok, Sandman was portrayed quite accurate imo and Venom was the reason I wanted to see the film.....although the guy who played him was ott when he had the Venom costume on.
Best part of the film for me is Parker walking down the street feeling ultra-confident and turning the heads of the women, so funny.

I'm under the impression that Sean Connery is not gonna be in the next Indy film as well, but I'll still go see it, Raiders of The Lost Ark ftw.
