Murphy, being a cocker, always sniffs everything:001:....however he also seems to sniff out anyone who has a cut, graze etc... and if it is a dog starts administering first aid by licking the cuts etc...

However these last couple of days he is manically sniffing my older dog's feet, legs and body...I've checked him and can't see anything...but Murphy keeps doing it and it is the same places all the time...

Does anyone have a clue what this is all about????

I'm completely perplexed....:035:

The only thing Thomas can sniff out is food!

If you're worried or think that Murphy may sense something, why don't you take your older dog to get a check up just to make sure!

Lucy is a little nurse, when ever i've had any sort of injury she licks it better, and she also cleaned Jarvis' lip folds obsessively when he had an infection there.

If I have a cut, both Lyla and Kali will sniff at it. Kim used to cuddle up to you if you were crying. If they can train cockers to sniff out cancer then I don't see why they can't sniff out everything healthwise :077:

I would definitely take your older dog for a check up - can't hurt and will put your mind at rest.

Awwww, thats really sweet - he's looking after y'all :051:

Rio's a sensitive girly but I don't think she's done anything like that.

I took the dogs round to my parents house last night and my brother was there. Roxy wouldn't leave his left foot alone - I just assumed they must be cheesey feet - iwwwww te he! - but no, he's sprained his ankle. Its weird how they seem to know!

That is pretty amazing...Murphy does that stuff all the time too...

Took older one to vets today...they think he has quite bad arthritis and something up with his spine...put him on metacam.

They said his hips and feet/toes were really stiff...so maybe this is what Murphy is checking out...i dunno????

Let's hope the metacam sorts it...

Clever Murphy for pointing it out. :077: If its okay with you Ori, I'll put some joint stuff in the post for him to try? I've got my oldie on it and it works a treat! Its all natural etc.
