For those of us who had brain splitting headaches over Lyns riddle ;) see how you get on with these :D

Q1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms: The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?


Q2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

Q3. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?


Q4. You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?

Q5. If you overtake the last person, then you are...?

Q6. (in your head!) Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10. What is the total?

Q7. Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?

The Lions. If they haven't eaten in 3 yesrs they are all dead!

2100. Your taking the first 1000 so start out at minus 1000 add 40 add 1000. etc...

Q7. Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?

First, You lapped the last person as if they were the last person you can't have been last

Doh! to 4, 5 & 7. So obvious now!

2 is a bit rubbish and she isn't technically holding "him" underwater or hanging "him". I stick with my magicians theory.

And I still say 6 should be 2100

0 - (take) 1000 + 40 + 1000 + 30 + 1000 + 20 + 1000 + 10 = 2100 :p <- We needed a sticky out tongue smillie

My head. But then I double checked with a calculator. If you start with 0 and follow it through as it says you get 2100 as the answer.

But it doesn't say start with 0, It says take 1000 so you have 1000 to start then add the 40 :D:D I never add it up in the right order just saw the 4 lots of 1000 and then added the rest up :)

It says take 1000 so that means to me the first thing you do is take 1000 from the start.

Its a simple trick designed to fool your brain into thinking the count goes from 900 to 1000 instead of it actually going from 0090 to 0100.

Clever tho. Very clever.... when I take over the planet (under the name of Scorpio the super villain) I'm gonna work that into the plan.

Think of it in Doughnuts, if it says take a doughnut it doesn't mean you have minus one doughnut to start it means you take one doughnut and therefore have +1. I think if it meant take as in subtract It would say subtract or minus.
