Have just taken Lyla to the vet for a puppy check. I decided to do this so they could see how she is thriving on Raw Natural Feeding (not to be confused with Barf) and she did really well. Eyes clear, skin clean, teeth white, coat in great condition, weight fine (although the vet thinks she is going to be a small doggie), no anal gland problems and happy as a sandboy or girl as the case may be.

I confessed to giving Lyla chicken wings, as I hadn't said that previously :076: and the vet did say that it is their vet teachings that makes them so anti bone feeding but she had heard that chicken wing bones were soft enough to be ok. She is perfectly happy with me and Lyla because she said I have obviously done my research and that from what I have said about Lylas diet, it is well balanced and nutritional. What she worried about was the people whose breeders don't give them all the information they need and then they go home thinking it is ok to just throw them half a cow every now and then!:045:

I am so pleased for Lyla, proud of myself and indebted to Lylas breeder Karen.

:048::059::059::059::048:

Is this the same practice where they have the very anti raw vet?

Great news :044:

What is the difference between Raw Natural & BARF? I don't think I've hear the term Raw Natural before?

What is the difference between Raw Natural & BARF?

Lylas diets include herbs and seeds, every one designed to target different areas of the body, supplements, wheatgerm, bran, kelp and oils and also cereals. Although the cereals will be dropped when she reaches about 8 months. Her meat is never minced as it is believed the meat has to be in bigger chunks in order for her stomach to have something to work on and create strong muscles and also to provide protection for the bones eaten after the meat.

I am not saying for one minute that one way is better than the other but Karens dogs and subsequent pups are testimony to her beliefs in natural feeding.

You only have to look at her to see that she is a healthy and well looked after little girl. Lots of praise to you for being such a great mummy :059::059:

Aww thank you. Just a pity she was so shy and retiring when she met you both. I think it was Theresa's hat!! She did the same to the vet today, sat like a quiet little girl. I am starting to sound like a liar, the Lyla we see is as elusive as Mr Snuffleupagus :076::076:
