Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Middler
My partner had put it on a cassette [no jokes] and put it inside a lunch box she'd made for me when I had to drive 500+ miles south on my own. It was our first time apart and I didn't know it was in the box. I played it on the M6.....and yes, it brought tears to my eyes :04: .....It still makes me think of her [now my ace wife :12: :12: :12: ] no matter where I am when I hear it and oh let me see, that was ooh......16+ years ago now. :12:

Ninja, posts on forums don't usually make me cry but burst into tears as soon as I read this part of your post. Such apt songs.

I've heard so many people say that, and it really makes me wonder how different it is in labour with a breech baby, i was having pains for about 30 hours, but only strong for about 16, not one of them was wave-like and i never actually felt anything contract either. Sorry off topic completely.
I can't think of songs that remind me of anything really, i'm sure i could if i heard them, but nowhere man - beatles reminds me of being really little, and pulp's different class album reminds me of my dad when i was younger, and a (looooong) drive to go camping in the lake district with a friend, and her dad who died last year. :13:

Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldiers.....heard it when I worked in Italy many years ago, it was one of the only good songs on the juke box then, on my firsy holiday away with my GF [now my ace wife] we were walking down a street late one evening on the island of Kos, it was warm and dark with a chorus of crickets to accompany us but from a bar in the distance I could hear the song being played. Now it holds special memories of our first holiday away :13: :12: :13: :12:
