Just wondered what people's opinions were on the disappearance of Maddy Mc Cann?

Mine are that I hope and pray everyday that todays the day that she is finally reunited with her family. I know there has been alot of press regarding...Blaim...at the parents, but to be honest I dont blaim them I only feel for them and their missing daughter.
Can this post be about positives please and if anyone has any negatives then start a new post...is that ok Mods?

There is developments today according to Sky news but still no sight of the child, there are still alot of people thinking like I do that Maddy is still alive and well, probably alot more thinking the worst I guess.

Hoping that tomorrow brings some positive news. :)

All we can do is hope and pray for the positive outcome i'm sure we'd all love. I can't even begin to imagine what the parents are going through, it doesn't even bear thinking about.

she is still in my prayers too helen. i have days were i'm convinced she is still alive and days where i'm not to sure.

I think that at the moment she is being kept underground, out of sight. Which is why she should be kept in the public eye, so when they do slip up, and they will, someone will recognize her. I cant imagine what her parents and family are going through. :(

I dont know any more :cry: I have followed this case since day one and there isnt a day passes I dont think of her, I truly hope she is alive but something inside makes me think she isnt with is anymore :cry:

I (for the first time) read some posts on a forum run by one of the daily newspapers last night. I must say, all of the theories linking her parents to the crime totally passed me by - but I had no idea how many people appear to hold that view :cry:

My own view is that Madeleine is no longer alive and was killed very soon after she went missing by someone not linked to her family. Yes, I think her parents were wrong to leave 3 young kids in the flat alone - but nobody could ever torture Kate and Gerry about that any more that they will be torturing themselves for the rest of their lives.

I think the use of launguage by the Portugese police is unfortunate. They are saying things like "positive outcome"...but,in my view, what they mean is positive from an investigative point of view, not that they are about to find her alive.

I hope and pray that I am wrong.

I must admit, I think similar. She is such a gorgeous wee thing tho, that there's a huge part of you still wants to believe it's gonna be ok.

You're right, they have been asked not to leave Portugal. It looks like there could be some news soon. the blood sample results should be back any day now too.

I actually thought that this would be over by now, i don't know how they are holding it together. I suppose whilst there is no news they have hope at least that she is being cared for and alive.
As bad as life gets i would sooner have my problems than theirs.

I dont think the police have a clue of what has happened to Maddy. I just wish they would find her one way or the other. How can her parents move on not knowing what has happened to her. If they don't find her they are going to spend the rest of their lives looking. [I know I would]

On Teletext toight it says maddies parents believe she may still be alive and in spain. They told 3 spanish newspapers it is a very real possibility their daughter has not been killed. They refused to say whether the police told them she could be in spain. I do hope they know more about this case than we do and that they are right.

Is it just me or does anyone else think this might be coming to an end soon one way or another.
Seems to many stories being leaked to the press and suggestions that Maddy is dead then alive. I dont know how the parents cope day to day, I can only think its their faith thats keeping them going.

Hope there are some developments soon.

I thiink every normal decent person in Europe wants the same outcome. If something has happened to her i hope they catch the sick scumbag and throw them to the public to deal with rather than cushion them in a pyschiatric unit.
But above all I hope she is OK.
