last year when everyone was on about we would have a bitterly cold winter i was like, "no way" mainly just coz it had been a hot july it didn't mean we would have a bitter winter. but, the weathermen are predicting a wet autumn and more flooding.
for some reason i am convinced we will have an exceptionally cold long winter. nothing to base it on but instinct. i did try to do a scientific forcast based on chaos and the gulf stream(for the month of august) but it failed big time. i thought it would be quite nice and dry.

I hope for the sake of those still cleaning up after the recent floods that the rest of the year is as dry as possible!

I have a feeling we have seen all of summer that we are going to see (I'm just saying this so that I can be proven wrong hint hint mr weather) today has that autumn feel about it and it's so dark. Just looking at the forecast it's going to get a bit better for the weekend. I can only keep my fingers crossed.

I really hope global warming isn't mentioned. Did anyone else see "The great global warming swindle". Very interesting stuff indeed and more plausable id say!

What annoyed my most about the whole floods thing was the news coverage on the BBC (That's British Broadcasting Corporation!). It was on every day. And then once things had dried up a little bit, nothing. Nothing on the National news even when half a cliff face swept through a village (Pennan (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/north_east/6934516.stm)) in the North of Scotland similar to what happened in Bocastle a couple fo years ago although that did get national coverage. And then again today they are taking about some minor flooding and a threat to flooding in the South East corner.
Don't get me started on the BBC!
