a dumb question

i just looked to see who's online and once again i see google [bot] is online. am i right in thinking its actually google who is searching through the posts???? or is there really someone here with the name google[bot] :lol:

The googlebot is a robot which automatically goes out and scans websites. Those pages then appear on Google later (can sometimes be months tho). So it's a good thing when the googlebot appears because it means the site is being indexed by Google (and therefore is more searchable!)
