Well Fred cut his paw last weekend on the beach and at the time it didnt seem to be bothering him but after last nights walk he couldnt put any weight on it and was feeling v sorry for himself, it was awful watching him limp round the house on 3 legs so first thing this morning I booked a vets appt for him.
I am stuck in work so OH having to take him and now I am starting to worry, I hope all is ok but wont be able to find out anything til after work as in a meeting all afternoon and have to switch phome off. PLease keep fingers and paws crossed that it is nothing serious as poor wee man not had a good time of it lately.

Awww Fred what are you up to. I'm sure it's probably just gone a bit yucky and a course of antibi's will sort him out :053::053:

Been washing it 3 times a day in antiseptic solution and had been having no problems til last night- i think poss some grit or a seed has got in it on our walk but not been able to see anything myself- just really frustrating that am at work and no way of getting to vets with him myself. HAve asked OH to make sure Vet weighs him as well just to make sure has been putting weight on after last tummy bug. Poor thing only 9 1/2 months old and must feel like the vets has got a permanent spot for him..

Hope Fred is ok, it's a bummer when you are unable to go with them.

Vets say it is infected and have given him a course of antibiotics t take and some pain killers. Been a wee angel taking his tablets and has got to stay off the beach for a few days to let it heal without getting too much grit etc in it. JHAve got to keep bathing it in antiseptic solution and keep an eye on it for a few days.
The good news is that he is putting on weight again and more solid these days than has been for ages!!
Am def up for the meet and Fred will be back to his usual self by then.
Thanks for all squidges/licks/hugs and will keep you all updaed with the pups progress!!
